LAGOS has named president Chris Cullen its new CEO, as founder Steven Lagos moves up to chairman and creative director.

Cullen, who has served as president for the last seven years of the Philadelphia-based jewelry brand, is now tasked with driving strategic redirection, including meeting ambitious growth targets.

E-tailer Blue Nile has appointed financier Robert van Schoonenberg to its nine-member board. 

Van Schoonenberg is chairman and CEO of BayPoint Capital Partners, a private equity firm, and a co-managing partner of AmeriCap Partners, a growth capital investment firm. He previously served as chairman of Premiere Entertainment, a company that specialized in special-event coverage and live red carpet premier broadcasts for Internet exhibition.

The trust of late actress Elizabeth Taylor is suing Christie’s auction house, claiming it’s withholding funds from the record-setting auction of Taylor’s jewelry, after a dispute arose over the provenance of a necklace it sold for $ 8 million.

The Sothern Trust, the trust of the late actress Elizabeth Taylor, has filed a federal complaint against Christie’s, claiming the auction house is in breach of contract and fiduciary duty for withholding funds from the auction of Taylor’s possessions.
