JCK and JIS to Partner for Las Vegas Jewelry Week Event

Reed Exhibitions, owner of JCK, LUXURY, and Jewelers International Showcase (JIS) branded events, has announced the launch of a new jewelry event in response to the overwhelming demand of a cash-and- carry presence at its global jewelry shows. The event, JIS Exchange, will take place at the newly renovated Tropicana Las Vegas Resort and Casino June 3–5, 2016, during jewelry week.

The event was created in response to the overwhelming demand for a cash-and-carry market.

Frederick Goldman Names Adam Gurian Chief Commercial Officer, Head of Scott Kay

Frederick Goldman has promoted Adam Gurian to chief commercial officer, a newly created role from which he will now lead the company.

Michael Benavente, who was named president of Scott Kay in May, has left the company, according to a release. Gurian will lead global sales and merchandising for the company’s portfolio of brands and head the leadership team for the Scott Kay brand. 

Frederick Goldman has promoted Adam Gurian to chief commercial officer, a newly created role from which he will now lead the company.

Jewelers of America Announces Media Excellence Nominees for 2016 GEM Awards

Jewelers of America has named three nominees for the media excellence category of its annual GEM Awards: Kyle Anderson, Rachel Garrahan, and JCKs own Rob Bates.

Anderson is the market and accessories director of Marie Claire. He was previously the senior accessories editor at Elle, and he is celebrated for his sense of style and sense of humor.
